Not super expensive. Seems to cast very well. I have 2 Silver Max reels by Abu Garcia to compare to. I think I like this one a little better regarding casting performance. Mechanical issue
Well bone looking at the real he's got several scratches and has a lot more wear and tear when you use the real and try to reel it as the line receiver I guess is what you call it that guides the line into the spool it goes back and forth across that slide it sticks on the right side pretty hard and wants to stay there you have to connect crank on it it's really turkey jerky not good quality I am very dissatisfiedVerified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

I've used Abu Garcia baitcast reels for 45 years and am now replacing my 5500C with this reel. This reel is smooth, light, fast and casts a mile if needed. My first time out I pitched, flipped and casted many different lures and this reel performed flawlessly!! Paired with a lightweight carbon rod, I fished this setup for five hours and didn't tire. I gave the reel a four star due to the limited time used. Time will tell if this reel will last as long as my 5500C but for now I am very pleased with my PMAX3.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
