they work fine, nothing outstanding from coleman
First I'm kind of a newb and can't really compare these to anything other than some current production Coleman #21's I have. I had been burning Coleman mantles(easy to get), but I had read good things about the peerless brand, so I bought some. I guess I was expecting too much. These light up about equal to the coleman mantles. My eyes can't tell a difference when I put two lanterns side by side. If anything the peerless produce a little more of a yellowish light. They might light up a little more than the coleman brand at lower gas vapor flow, but that is very subjective and hard to regulate two lanterns to the same flow. Don't get me wrong, the peerless burn very well and I would not hesitate to buy more and I guess the one thing I don't know at the moment is will they last longer than the coleman mantles. I've opened on package so my sample size is 4 mantles burned in. I think the size of the mantles varies from mantle to mantle. So they do not seem to be very consistent on size from one to the next.

Cheaper than Coleman brand but work the same

Very good mantles
