The Second Best Exotic Marigold Movie
It is accurately titled second best. Not as deep, full and engaging as the first, but it has plenty enough moments and character interactions to endear itself to you. Sonny's efforts with the first Retirement Hotel prove a success with the help of his Mother and Mrs. Donnelly, so he sets his sights on expansion. A friend, Kushal ,who seems to rival for Sunaina, his bride-to-be's affections, buys the Hotel Sonny wanted, then insists Sonny partner with him which angers him. All the characters struggle with their places and desires and ages and memory issues (hilariously blundered through by Bill Nighy). Their discoveries lead to an understanding of selves and accomplishments where age takes second place. A recommended watch.

Great sequel
The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel was a great movie— especially for seniors. The sequel is not as engaging, but is still a good story. My used copy was in excellent condition.

Part 1 without Part 2 is like peanut butter without jelly
Wishing they would make a part 3 .. 4.. 5 now I enjoyed this movie so much I would like to see a new episode every week. Having traveled to India on a few extended vacations This was a must watch for me. I was delighted to see how well they depicted how it really is in India. The true beauty of the people, the places, the music and the colors How it really feels to be in a different country not knowing what to expect. Letting go of all of our preconceived notions of our retirement and of our future. A fun, up-lifting, mind searching / opening experience. I say at the very least rent these movies .. you will not be disappointed. I am glad they are in my collection to be watched again and again anytime I like

Charming, engaging comedy.
I liked this movie enough to buy a copy of it (even though the writer took a few potshots at the United States in this British-made movie). The story, with all of the intertwined lives and loves of British pensioners retired to India, is charming and captivating. However, inasmuch as this is a sequel, you will not understand much of the story unless you have seen the first movie: "The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel." So I strongly urge you to view the first movie before watching this one in order fully understand the various storylines developed. The acting is superb, as to be expected with a cast of this caliber. But it is the writing that truly excels. Simply look up this movie on the Internet Movie Data Base and view the list of "Quotes" from the movie. So many funny one-liners! And many of them contain philosophies for life in them: "There's no present like the time" ----- ah, I could write a book on this one line alone! This movie is enjoyable entertainment for people of all ages, so gather the family around -- grandma too! It is a movie from which you discern more value upon multiple viewings.

Very Entertaning
It started out little slow for my tastes. But it gets better. I hope that my life turns out as well as most of the characters in this movie. I would love to visit India someday. But I will never be able to afford it. Thanks for making this movie.

delicious and funny !
this is a highly entertaining film about elderly citizens coping in a foreign country! MAGGIE SMITH AND JUDY DENCH ARE FANTASTIC IN THEIR ROLES. RICHARD GERE IS GREAT EYE CANDY. ENJOYED THE MUSIC DANCED TO DURING DANCING. THE YOUNG COUPLE FACING MARRIAGE CEREMONY ARE CUTE AND TYPICAL OF YOUNGER COUPLES IN TODAYS WORLD. NICE RELAXING FUNNY FILM.

This a cute movie

Best sequel ever
Loved the original movie and this one was just as good. With a stellar cast, all of whom were perfect in their parts, and a good story line this was a must see movie. It will definitely be one I will watch again and again.
