It detects 500 to 1,200 Hz analog signals to isolate individual wire pairs and trace voice, audio, and video cabling on inactive networks. The probe detects signals at cable racks, in patch panels, and even behind walls, and identifies detected signals audibly and with eight LEDs that light successively as the signal strength increases for prompt isolation of a single cable within a bundle.

Amazing tool for network cabling.
Well, FLUKE is known for its high standards and recognition throughout the industry. They make great things with a lot of technology and design ingenuity incorporated in. This tool is no exception, but keep in mind when you buy used, prepare for nasty surprises. FLUKE would offer you an exchange if something goes bad with this tool, but it is not really a great deal. The board design is at least 3 layers and is not reliable when this instrument gets abused and dropped many times over. That is another thing to consider when buying used. Overall this is a great choice for cabling technician who is willing to learn how to use it properly and to its full capacity. You would be surprised what it does and how great. Others may not worry and buy something cheap.
