Makes oil changes MUCH easier
The location of the filter on a GSXS1000 makes changing it difficult when the OEM filter is used, as it can be awkward to get a filter spanner in behind the headers. The HEX bolt fitting on the K&N filter (which is the same 17mm socket as the sump plug) means you only need a couple of tools to perform an oil change without any frustration.
