Epic Film Classic
Almost flawless playback except for one 'skip' during this 6 hour 22 minute epic! There are English subtitles during the entire movie that do not match exactly with the verbal dialogue which is also in English. The section explaining the characters is non-verbal and is in an Asian language. This all should have been explained in the on-line description. As far as the acting, you will not find better! The cast is utterly amazing from the lead roles to the character roles. Musical scoring is quite emotionally inspiring. Scenery and background cinematography is breathtaking and believable. You won't find a plot that is more spell binding and a cast that has more depth and diversity.

Great Series, especially during Lent
I ordered this series since I have seen it before. The only disappointment is that it does not have the full introduction with Actors and Actresses credits as well as the music score that goes with it. This is a highly acclaimed series and should have the full recognition of those who played the parts to make it so successful.

Great timing
I liked this movie since the first time it aired around 1977 or so, and try to catch it whenever it comes on, but, it's always aired over multiple days. NOW (ha!ha!) it's in MY library -- and at a great price, too! -- so I can watch it when I want to watch it. I caught part of it during Easter weekend, and finally decided to break down and buy it for my collection, so the timing and the price were excellent, and it got here in short order, too.

Story of Christ
This is a beautiful and an extremely well done version of Jesus' life. The story follows the Bible very closely using scriptures all throughout the movie. It is the most accurate movie of Christ's life that I have ever seen. The movie begins before Mary and Joseph's Betrothal, then shows the Angel speaking to Mary about her immaculate conception and the Angel speaking to Joseph to continue his Betrothal to Mary, proceeding to Bethlehem for Jesus birth. The costumes of the Three Kings are magnificent. The costumes in general are as authentic as I would imagine. The All Star Cast is phenomenal. Robert Powell's portrayal of Jesus is superb. Through his eyes you see Jesus' kindness and wonderful miracles. The story follows the Bible closely from birth to His teachings through the Crucifxion and Resurrection. This is a wonderful Christian movie.

My favorite movie of all time and it's the true life of Jesus. Great acting and production.
Movie aligns with scripture therefore the movie is alive for me. If anyone ever feels unloved or depressed, this movie lifts the heart and restores peace and teaches core values. It's the greatest love story ever told and its a true story. I gain something new each time I watch it. Used to be played on TV but not anymore-what a shame. I know that I am loved beyond what I can even imagine & this movie helps put it in perspective. I recommend Jesus of Nazareth to all ages, young & old for today and tomorrow; it will be the same. It has power to change lives; I know because it changed mine. Enjoy; it's more than a movie.
