Egad that's a big display
Plugged this in, set it up in a few minutes.
Yes, you DO need to read the instructions: it's not immediately obvious that some buttons change function if you hold them down for a few seconds. Tapping AL1 for example, cycles through buzzer, radio, or off. To set the AL1 time, you need to hold down AL1 until you get a blinking time display. Hold down again to leave this mode.
First reaction of wife, on see it working, was: "WHOA that's a big display".
I don't need my glasses on to read this baby.
A nice bonus: older radios have a tuning capacitor and volume knob, which can become "scratchy" (changing station or volume puts noise out the speaker). Frequency selection and volume control on this model are both pushbutton controlled.
If you have the time to look through the instructions, setup and control should be relatively smooth. Recommended product.
