Functional, no frills
Great for pre-chilling your camp fridge before a trip. It's well ventilated and contains a cooling fan. I ran it overnight with a 3A load, and the powerpack didn't get warm at all, so it feels like there's still plenty of headroom (as the 7.5A rating would suggest). Powertech 240v-12vdc 7.5amp.
I wouldn’t recommend this power adapter as it is excessively noisy when switched on. Other electronic devices such as computers, battery charges etc that have cooling fans built in to them are very quiet when in operation. My powertech adapters’ cooling fan is so noisy that I cannot use it in the house or even out on the patio. I have it running my Engel portable fridge in my shed. I am waiting feedback from the supplier to determine if this excessive noise level is common to all powertech 240v-12vdc 7.5amp units.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Quality NotThere
On receiving I plugged this unit in it did not work, check it out found a broken active wire in the 12 volt receptacle I soldered this back on then tried it again it worked however after a couple of minutes the error light kept flashing on my fridge I checked the voltages and found low volts on the DC side the DC side of the unit I found the lead is too long causing voltage to drop so I shortened the lead to about 300mm the tried it again it is now working ok .Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Arrived quickly and appears to work well
I have only had it running overnight powering my Waeco CF60. Seems to be doing the job as described. It has an internal cooling fan that seems to run continuously, not loud but it is noticeable. Broken on arrival, unhelpful staff
The unit did not work and upon investigation I found a shoddy soldering job had resulted in broken connection within the socket. Camp Smart would not help, insisting it needed to be received back at their warehouse before honoring a warranty claim. Given I needed a unit asap, I was forced for other solutions.
