Powerful little dynamo!
So many good features! This 30 pint dehumidifier is quiet and very effective. I haven't seen many that allow you to set your desired humidity level which is awesome. I used to have mold in my house, but no more. I change the bucket once a week in the summer, that's all, very easy. Think 50% of rated performance in northern room temps
I now have experience with two of these units. The one thing I wish I had known, or that was provided somewhere, is a performance curve showing how fast the extraction of water from the air falls off as temperature and humidity decrease. In a typical northern room, closet, or RV at 64 degs. F and 70% humidity, you are likely to see about half of the stated 600 mL production running 24/7. That also means that it would be best to be thinking about spaces of maybe 1,000 cu. ft. rather than 2,200. Dehumidifiers in general have a difficult time pulling down room humidity significantly, so a 2,200 cu. ft. space at more typical room temperatures would be lucky to see a 5 - 10% drop in RH with this depending on how much air movement the space has from outside of it. The more it has, the less effective the water removal will be.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Not effective
I received this item yesterday, and for the last 18 hours, I have been attempting to dehumidify a small room 10 x 10 x7 which is well within the parameters of this device. Although it has collected some water, it isn't enough to keep ahead of the high humidity (60%) in the room. I suspect the only way to absorb humidity effectively is to buy the larger more expensive units. Don't bother with this as it is very disappointing.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Too small
It is very ineffective. It does take moisture out of the air, but very little over a long period of time. I'm using it in a small room (probably an 8'x12') with the door closed and I can't get the humidity below 60. It is a dehumidifier but I just don't see where it would ever do enough to be a functioning item. Pretty useless!!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Wroks great in my travel trailer.
I needed a unit that would reduce the humidity in my travel trailer while in storage and prevent mold from forming. This unit has done a good job of it keeping the humidity at or below 50%. If you are looking for one be sure to look at the area it says it will cover. I got one that was 20% more than the area i wanted to cover. Puts less strain on the unit and reduces problems. The size of the unit makes it perfect of cramped areas like an RV. It is very quiet and hardly makes a sound when the fan cycles on and off. I indicator on the front indicates it level of humidity and runs when it get to the level you set for the level you want. So it also isn't running all the time. Powerful and small
I was not sure of using a Peltier device as a dehumidifier. I have been pleasantly surprised at how effective the item is. It is placed in a small walk-in closet, off of a bathroom. Unfortunately the closet is not vented and humidity from the bathroom tends to cause some problems with light mold appearing on shoes and other items. The Ivation has taken care of that problem. Working very well!
The master bedroom would get humid around 75%. I put this unit in the corner and set it to 55%. It works great. I have 3 humidity gauges. One in the closet, bedroom and bathroom.
