Great tool, performance as expected and reasonably priced.
I had to strip out and rewire two boats and convert the bowmount electric motors to 24v from 12v . I bought this tool because I had to make a couple of dozen different terminals and connectors so I needed this tool to speed things up and give me a strong connection between the cables and terminals that wouldn't come loose. Average product, might be good for little jobs only.
Definitely overstated power, could t swage a 5mm rope. Could only produce enough force to make a small mark on the top of the swage. Sick of Chinese products being over stated for weight. The reason why I know that this is overstated is that I then used my other press worth a gauge and was able to swage the rope at only 4tonnes or pressure. It seems to be well built but as i've only made 4 crimps so far, time will tell. Only thing that is a bit weird is the "On/Off" description on the knob controlling the the hydraulic pressure release valve. Perhaps it was just me but It seemed to be backwards in operation. ie to operate the crimper, the valve needs to be in the "off" position, so On is valve open and Off is valve closed.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

It works well but is a bit awkward to hold ferrules while you get started but otherwise really good. Did some small ferrules on steel wire & then some 35mm2 flexible battery cables & both came out really good. So for the price it is excellent. Surprisingly Simple Sturdy Product
Felt a little clumsy at first, trying to hold the cable while working the handles to crimp, but I found that if you grip the terminal just slightly in the press jaws, and feed the cable end into it, you can actuate the lever handle by pushing it against the wall or anything solid. The jaws completely flatten the terminals, giving a really solid crimp. I'm yet to try it on 1/0 guage cable, which is what I bought it for, but on smaller cables, it has convinced me it's a worthwhile purchase, and you can't complain about the price. The case has a plastic hinge, which will eventually split, but a strip of soft leather and a handful of rivets will sort that out, when the day comes to fix it.
