    Great for the price.

Overall with reasonable knowledge and care this kit works great. I quickly upgraded the scales and the powder measure. The scales are rather cheap. The powder measure is just a little quirky and not what I am used to. Overall for the money it is still a good deal. I enjoy the press and the quick change die system. The hand primer works well and what I have used in the past. If you read the directions the case trimmer does a reasonable job and is perfectly fine for pistol brass. I can not say how it does on rifle brass. I ordered the quick change press mounting system also and it is great. I have used lee dies for years because for the money they are wonderful. I would recommend the kit but with the caveat that you must read THEIR directions. Good Luck.

Well all is well except the primer remover ends up throwing the expanded primers on the floor and not in its designed bin!!

Well all is well except the primer remover ends up throwing the expanded primers on the floor and not in its designed bin!! It could use a bit of rethinking and redesigning, or it could use more instructions in the accompanying manual.. What I don't like about lee products is that every damn product you buy comes with a catalogue that is more about advertising ALL their product line than being informative and directive on using the product it accompanies. Will you cut that already?! please!!

  • Good old Lee Breech Lock

I had a used one of these a long time ago and loved it then but it got "lost" over many moves. So I started hand loading with the Lee Loader and finally decided to get another breech lock. I bought this one because I was familiar with it and thought I could pick up where I left off. I did. It's a great package with a couple of bells and whistles I didn't have before. All in all it's a great buy. I love it. Reloading life's so much simpler, consistent and smoother now. It came with the Lee Powder Measure, Powder Scale, a hand primer and almost everything you need to get going. You will need the appropriate dies, primers, powder, casings and bullets. I added some reload shell trays, a different case lube and some manual tools I was using when I was reloading via the Lee Loader. I'd also recommend a case tumbler, good calipers and a clear workspace. I needed to drill three holes in my work bench for the press and anchored the powder measure to the work bench as well. I also installed a light and a power strip at the bench so I could see what the heck I was doing and so I could use the tumbler and other little gadgets I have. Either way, I had it up and pressing in less than an hour. The hand primer alone is a wonderful tool but all of the items included in this set will get you going (with the mentioned minimal extra purchases). So if you order this make sure you order the appropriate dies if you don't already have them. That way the press and the dies should be arriving around the same time and you can get hot on the reloading side of things. The base plate in the picture wasn't included. Have fun!

  • Produces Very Good Reloads

This is a very good kit for the new reloader, it has everything you need except dies for your caliber and a shell holder. The powder measure and scale look cheap and are mostly plastic but perform surprisingly well. I am not loading bench rest loads, I load for my hunting rifles and pistols and the quality of the reloads are fine with better accuracy than I expected! Buy the LEE collet dies with the shell holder to go with this kit and you will be set for under $150 to make some good reloads.

  • A Good Value

I bought the Lee Breech Lock Challenger Kit for the low cost of caliber conversions and ease of operation. I own a popular brand of progressive press and discovered that changing calibers on a progressive press is quite expensive Almost as much as this kit costs.. By all means a progressive press is much faster, but you can produce the same quality of ammo with this kit. Now I will be able to load a number of calibers just by purchasing the dies and of course primers powder and bullets. This is a good value!

  • Awesome press!

Bought this as my first press and love it. Easy install and works great. However, it doesn't come with the base plate shown and it comes with a different hand prime (however i found it much better to use the press prime and didn't need the mounting plate). Press is rugged but really looks great on my bench. scale is accurate if you learn how to use it.

  • Lee Precision Reloading kit Great value and great features

This is an excellent kit for anyone who is looking to get into reloading I my self with rising ammo costs wanted to to start reloading so I got this kit. It has everything you need for essentially any caliber both pistol and rifle calibers. The only other stuff you need is for each caliber you are reloading is the dies and shell holder. This kit comes with a hand held primer (If you want to prime off the press) and also it has the press set up to prime so it is your chose how you chose to prime

  • Great features, low cost

I did much research on various manufacturers of reloading equipment. Each one has good points along with some negatives. I chose the Lee Precision 50th Anniversary system because I'm just starting out and need more items than someone who had been reloading for a while. My budget is also limited so the cost was a major factor. I went to You Tube and looked at the various manufacturers company videos, as well as quite a few everyday persons videos of the different products. I wrote each company and got their product catalog to compare apples to apples. Of course, it is my Christmas present, so the wife put it away till December 25th. She did allow me to inventory everything to make sure nothing was broken. It all looked good and I'm chomping at the bit. If I can add this last comment, I shopped Amazon and other sites for this item. EBAY had the cheapest price, no shipping cost and I got it extremely fast. They beat out everyone.

  • Lee Press Kit-----worth its weight in gold. ( or brass and lead ).

In a world where you cannot buy ammo, at least for decent price, now I can make my own ammo for a fraction of the cost. This Lee press kit works well and could very well be a life saver.

  • Can't go wrong

New to hand loading, looked & tried other brands with higher price, considered extent of my use etc. I believe I made the right choice. Hornady and RCBS are made better. I purchased a digital scale, digital caliper etc.
