    Great power.

This PSU is a good quiet unit with no issues or power influx. The only issue is this one in particular has only a 4 pin CPU power plug instead of the standard 8. Great for some MB's or small form factors. Other than that it is very quiet and efficient and causes no power flux's or surges.

Good enough for what you pay

I recently recieved the PSU and installed it on my PC build. I ran into a problem with the 20+4 pin connector being a bit too short, forcing me to buy an extender cable to install the PSU in the correct direction. Also, the Ebay entry says the PSU is 450w, but when I recieved it, it says 400w max... Other than that, it's alright. But if you plan to use a graphics card that uses extra power connectors, you'll need adapter cables to do so.

  • PSU on a budget

Ordered this with less than high expectations but for the money as long as it doesn't catch fire it's a win... The name brand PSU's can be pricey so I ordered one. Here is my review... CONS - wire seems thin... thin gauge. - shorter than most - no sleeves. - There is only 1 4 pin for the MB. - no on/off switch PROS - 20.00 dollars - 1 6 pin pcie which can be split with a cable for a total of 2 GPU powered by 6 pin. 1 6 pin per GPU or 1 GPU with 2 6 pin power. - 4 pin Molex rail which can be used for 2 gpu risers. - CONCLUSION If you need a little power for your mining rig say just to power a couple of low range GPUs like 2 R9 270s or / 1 HD 7990 or / 1 RX 460 and 1 RX 560 / or 3 RX 550s then this is perfect. If you need a main power supply for your MB and GPU then get a 80+ cert PSU. I have 2 of these PSUs running 3 RX 550s a piece mining and 6 gpu risers. I use a Corsair 650w as main PSU running the MB. I know these card are not very great but I have the cards so I use them and I have better rigs as well. I have not had any power failures after running 2 weeks straight like you will get trying to mine with insufficient power. Hope it holds up. I would not try and push these thing too hard because of the thin wire and fire. It's a sweat deal for what it is..

  • Star Red power supply is the best. Very quiet and preforms very good.

I have benched this power supply and it preforms and in a lot of cases out preforms some of the more costly one's out their. Plenty of power to run everything including a more advanced graphic's card. Great price and quick delivery. I will buy from here from now on. I saved more than 1/2 the cost and got a better power supply than my local dealers have. Thanks

  • Power is Power

While shipping was somewhat delayed through no fault of shipper it eventually arrived and was installed with satisfaction. I had upgraded a MB and needed SATA pwr. connections. Working just fine. Good price, free shipping. Uncle Bob

  • Works GREAT as stated... BUT....

It does everything the description says it will do, BUT it is a little smaller in physical size than the standard AtX power supply.. I needed to make a few brackets to install into my PC case.. Not a big deal, but it should mention the size differential in the description.. Look at my photo for my modification.

  • Power-Star 650w ATX Power-Supply

This is a nice power supply to have when building a low end system Its quiet and just right to run a nice video card and cpu. I have push a FX 9590 plus a MSI 980Ti lighting with the power supply without any problems I also change out to the I5 / I7 4790k and the AMF FX 8350 / 8370 to cut back on my power bill (LOL) You should always build your rig around the CPU and check the watts on power If you don't have the cash for the 80 plus type power supply then this is alright for you

  • 650W PC Power Supply Good Deal!

Was worried about this PSU being able to put out effectively, super quiet an handles my Intel I5, 2 Hard Drives, AMD R9 270X with power to spare. Have 4 days of usage on it so far holding up good. So it's a good deal alright, time will tell how it can handle the stress but looks promising can not detect any noise or smell or surges brownouts
