    Dorco ST-301 on a par with Astra SP

    At 71 I returned to DE shaving a couple of months ago after a 30 year stray. There are so many different blades on the market that did not exist when last I swung a Gillettee SS. I've tried about 10 and have now settled on Dorco and Astra. Both give me close and comfortable shaves. But I think the Dorco win on value. A bit less expensive and I think I'm getting more shaves per blade. I've collected more than 30 razors and haven't found one yet that the Dorco doesn't work well in. I did a blind test and am pretty certain that the ST-301 and the Prime are the same blade with different labeling. Of course, YMMV.

    Inexpensive, smooth shaving

    I had bought the Van Der Hagen safety razor a while ago, and was quite happy with the 5 blades that came with it. When I switched to the Dorco blades, I was quite pleased with the quality. They give as close and smooth of a shave as the German blades that came with the Van Der Hagen, and at a fraction of the cost.

A year ago I switched back to using single blades because of the less aggressive shave you get compared to the five blade razors in the drug stores that your forced to buy!     If you are looking for a sharp and eficient blade, this is the way to go. I have a heavy beard but these blades do the job. I don't get knicks at all, not irritation. With Dorco blades, you can never go wrong, trust me; I speak for experience.

    Great blades, I like them so much I bought 1,000

    These are the best blades I’ve tried, I’ve tried over 12 different brands and blades! I use a Rockwell T2 razor, with VanDerHagen shave soap in a mug and a badger hair shave brush, These blades give me a smooth shave with no burn or bumps. I shave about 3 times a week and a blade last about 2 weeks, 1,000 blades should last me 40 years at this rate .
