I bought 3 cpu chips for approx $8 each.
I bought 3 cpu chips for approx $8 each, but my old computer does not work and neither of the three chips made it work. Its probably the mother board not working therefore I cannot say if either of the three chips work or not. I am now looking for an oldish computer that does work so that I can take my two hard drives out of the old and put them in the newer one. I have a Microsoft Flight Simulator that I like to play with on the old computer hard drives when it is working (out in the garage) and some other things on the hard drives that I want to keep for a few more years. As I was trying each of the three CPU chips I noticed that the booting up got worse and worse, no fault of the CPU chips, but probably the Intel N1996 mother board. Mother boards are expensive and I don't know that it would fix my computer, that's why I am looking around town for a replacement computer. I reseated all the cables and pluggable cards to no avail.
