About this product

Product Information

Okay, here's the situation: You're late for school. That's not uncommon, but someone has placed a mess of obstacles around he neighborhood that are just begging to be conquered with your skateboard! If you wanna be cool, you're gonna want to jump every ramp, ride through every cruise tube, and still make it to school in under five minutes. It's not easy, but that's the price of coolness in Skate Boardin'.

Upon starting Skate Boardin', you find yourself at your front steps with skateboard in hand. Press the fire button to jump on your board, and away you go. At the top of the screen is a clock that counts down the time and an obstacle counter that ticks off the obstacles you have conquered.

Although there are many types of obstacles to avoid in Skate Boardin', including brick walls, grassy strips, and roadblocks, only two kinds of obstacles matter to you: ramps and tubes.

Ramps are conquered by approaching them from the left or right. Your board will automatically jump when it hits the ramp. Tubes must be skated through in a crouching position. To crouch, you must jump and hold down the fire button. When you land you will remain crouching.

Once you have found all thirty obstacles, you must locate the school steps to win the game. The game also ends when the counter reaches 0:00. Your ranking is determined by the total number of obstacles defeated. The manual lists score rankings from "Spaz" to "Totally Awesome."
