Rolls Royce of headphones!
Seriously - these headphones feel and sound like they should be in a class of their own. I bought these to use both at home, and in a plane. They are AWESOME! Superb sound quality, incredible noise cancellation, and so far the Bluetooth has worked great. The touch controls are simple once you get the hang of them, and the feature to let outside sound in by covering one ear is genius. I use this to pair with an Apple TV when watching TV late at night to not disturb others. But I also have used them in planes and have been so happy to have them. They take a bit of space in my carry on but it’s worth it. My only gripe is that you can’t really lay your head down or rest your head to the side an use these. For that reason it makes me want a second pair that allows me to do that, but that’s excessive and silly and I’ll just deal for now. Sony WH-1000XM3 a piece of crap.
It keeps getting disconnected from my livingroom smart TV, which is why I bought it. I have another pair of Sony Wireless earphones, that cost me a lot less, but they are coming to the end of the road and have never failed me. Great sound, even better noise canceling
I found this item nearly $100 cheaper than anywhere else i looked. Excellent quality cans with unbeatable noise canceling. I've never owned a more comfortable, easy to wear, or better sounding set of headphones. Period. My two small gripes are that the cups around the ears make me way too hot, and the large cups make it awkward to wear around the neck. Take it with a grain of salt since I run hot and I live in a hot climate. But in the summer these cans heat me up too much and I sweat a lot. As for the size, yes they're comfortable but only when they're on. When you have to take them down around the neck they're so big it makes it awkward. Like I said, very small complaints and ones I'm not entirely sure would be resolved by another brand. Easy Fulfilling Sound
I recently bought some bose ear buds and connecting to wi-fi was so troublesome, you have to keep putting the buds back in the case four or five times, by the time you connect what you wanted to listen to was over. I can't say the sound quality even much better. Now enough about Bose, Sony sound quality was great, I can hear all the details on the instruments playing and the audio for watching a movie privately is something I was looking for. The ambient function is great as well, ease of use is great. I have purchased the extra app that says it can customize your sound, but I bet it is. Good sound quality and industry leading NC/AN, but in need of some improvements
These are one of the best NC/AN Headphones I've purchased. It's nicely integrated with its apps and it's been helpful for my ADD. It drows out most noise and can even remove some human voices. The sound is great and balanced overall, with enough bass and enough focus on the mids. There are a couple improvements I would like to see though. I would like there to be multi device support like there are for Bose sound products. Second, after a while I start to feel pressure from the headphones, so maybe if the fit could be a bit more comfortable/be more lightweight that would be great. Lastly, the microphones work but are glitchy when having zoom calls and such so I've had to use my apple airpods for doing zoom calls out of feat that they are unreliable. Good headset but worried about headband durability.
The headband looks fragile, tiny plastic parts at both ends where the sliders are.. ANC is really good. Sound is fantastic but could be a bit clearer in some situations. Definitely a good headset and happy I bought them but I'm still uncertain if I made the right choice between xm3 or Bose qc35 II. There is no power brick included to recharge the headset, only a usb type c cable. The audio cable is a standard 1/8 (3.5mm) jack, so no problem finding a replacement one unlike Bose cables that are using a smaller jack (2.5mm) at the headset end. You can not pair more than one Bluetooth devices at the same time unlike the Bose (feature supposedly coming with the next xm4) I made my final decision for the mx3 because I found a deal at 254$ US instead of 290$ for the qc35Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

ANC Champ!
When the first Sony WH-1000 X series came to the market, the inter web was fired up. Three generations later, I could confidently say that these are easily more feature rich, comfortable, with killer noice canceling without; compromises in the sound quality. I am an audio file and have had experiences testing various styles of headphones, and here's my breakdown. Starting with unboxing, these definitely felt like the $350 headphones that it is. The headphone was inside the case nicely folded along with the airplane adapter, standard 3.5mm audio cable, and a disappointingly short cable but never the less a welcomed addition USB-C for charging. I felt very pleased with the way these felt in my head, from the leather wrapped headband to the plushy ear cup. It's mostly made up of plastic but felt far from feeling cheep thanks to the mat coating. The copper accent added a premium look. One downside is that it does tend to get a little sweaty within the ear cups, which is to be expected with over the ear cans as these, but Bose seems to know how to make their cans more breathable! Feature wise these support all the major bluetooth codec, including LDAC. There is a noticeable yet slight improvement in sound quality is hard to discern when streaming via Apple Music and Spotify. The sound is definitely more geared towards average listeners, with more emphasis in base but its flat frequency response and dynamic frequency response from these drivers are definitely above average, and its original sound signature is better than Beats studios. In conclusion, these have characteristically fun sound profile that even some audio files may find pleasing. These work both actively or passively, meaning by plugging the headphones directly into the audio jack. Noise canceling here raises the bar however. QN1 processor not only insures that they sound great, but noise cancelation performances on these are incredible. I generally experience a feeling of pressure sensation when using a pair with ANC, but Sony just seems to know how to do it right, combined with adaptive ANC adjustments as well as the touchpad trick of pumping in the external sounds instantly, these are the champ! Worth the splurge
As someone who recently became part of the work from home workforce, I found myself getting distracted easily or being interrupted by people in my family. I figured some visible noise cancelling headphones would do the trick. My coworker recommended this brand and model to me and so I went in made the splurge purchase. These headphones are more comfortable than most people would think, have great sound and are very easy to set up. It’s definitely an investment but right out of the box you can easily see an feel the quality. Sound quality and ANC are great!
The sounds quality on these are so good, but are best if you use the Sony app to adjust the EQ to how you want it. By the way, the app is loaded with features to get the most out of the headphones. The audio gets even better if you listen to music with the active noise cancellation on, which works great by itself at blocking lower pitched sounds, but not so much on the highs. Great sounding headphones for music. And from online comparisons I made reading professional reviews they are the best for drowning out the lower frequencies when compared to otherer leading brands. They are perfect for use with my zero turn mower. Hear a very faint hum when the noise blocking is activated. Can barely tell the mower is running.
