Not so super silent air pump.
the unit is reasonably bulky but light in weight. Due to the nature of the electromagnetic air pump there is some noise that can be reduced tensioning damping material to the case. The larger style of air pumps (40l/m or more ) seek to isolate the vibrations from the external case by anti vibration mounts but for the money this is a great value air pump.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Solid unit but not quiet
Good solid product which does pump out a great volume of air through the airstones which is excellent. There are anti flow back valves provided, but only 2 which is a bit absurd for a unit which has 4 outputs. Def not quiet. I have mine outside and I can hear it clearly inside the house. Fantastic value pump
I've been using these for about 4 months now. I have 4 of them. Some people complain they are a bit loud but I've found they are quiet when set to 80-90% power and you affix tubes to all four outlets. My only quibble is that when set to about 30-40% power, they can vibrate themselves 'off' over a period of a fortnight. So you need to turn them back up every two weeks. Noisy
Very noisy Can heard the vibrating air bellows 12 metres away with the tv on, that's on the lowest setting that produces the air bubbles. Turn it on when I go out, turn it off when I return. Variable speed control is a great feature and at its lowest setting, the pump is quiet silent. However at maximum output, the pump is loud. Unless you have a waterfall feature or some other background noise, the pump will sound loud. Rubber matting underneath will help dampen the vibrations but the pump itself will still sound loud. An enclosure or hiding it inside a cupboard may work but not sure about over-heating. Build quality is good and don't have any issues with the outlets regarding size, spacing and functionality. This powers 2x 18" air-stones and 2x 8" air-stones very well. All with 0ne-way check valves installed. Vigorous bubbles, nice and small in size and happily runs all day without any issues. Overkill for a 60L tank, 120L would good and could even suffice for 240L. I operate at 100% power all day, every day. Don't hesitate to buy this product, just be aware of the potential noise issues and vibrations. Noisy air pump.
Supplies a good flow of air. Pump is very noisy, I would nor use it in the house, I have it in the garden for a pond and can hear it inside the house through open window. the pump is quite loud and far from being anything like silent, it is quite strong and the control works well to slow it down a little..
