Good value for the price
I'm very satisfied with this product. For the price, it takes decent video, even at night. And I find the motion detector works well, and is not subject to nuisance tripping, from my housecat. I also have the weather-resistant cover and cable for one camera I use to monitor my yard.

Awful camera
Picture is not clear and is useless at night without a porch light or some type of lighting. Can’t see a thing at night. It also makes a loud clicking noise every time it starts or stops recording, alerting potential intruders. Wish they made a better camera. The security system works great otherwise.

Very Disappointing Camera
SimpliSafe has a bad reputation for not responding to the absolute multitude of complaints regarding their simplicams. Especially where it is being used a 2nd, 3rd 4th cam , etc. Despite having optimal download and upload speeds, and having tried everything I cannot get this camera to sync with my system. I am giving up and it was a waste of money. Very disappointed.

Expect to need a service plan.
