Good stuff for the money!
A little better explanation of the wiring of the crossover would be helpful. In a two wire system, you only need to use one of the signals from the head unit or amp to split the signal to the componet speakers. Use either the mid woofer or the tweeter signal to the input of the crossover. I'm assuming that people who do this for a living know this, but DIY'ers probably not so much. Got it worked through with no problems. Polk has always been quality products and I have always used them for any of my vehicles and boats. Best frequency response I have found in small speakers for the price point. Wished they hadn't discontinued the DB 6501's though. Good stuff.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Awesome speakers!
Bought these to replace the stock front speakers in my 2001 Tahoe. They sound awesome. Make sure you buy the GM adapters because they are not a direct replacement. With the adapters the job is made much easier. Also you will have to rig something up for the tweeters to hold them in the spot that the originals came in. I used a universal mounting strap with 4 nuts and bolts I had Laying in my junk drawer. It wasn't very hard to do at all.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great sound and high value
An excellent sounding set of speakers for the price. Fairly neutral sound across the spectrum, with a bit of a spike around 1.2KHz. Tweeters are a little bright (but not as bright as their previous generation), but can be easily tuned down via the adjustment available in the crossover. Great as a stock replacement, given the higher 92 dB sensitivity and low profile, but also performs very well when fed by an amp. Kit contains pretty much everything needed to install, including flat mount adapter rings to fit various different vehicles. Longevity could still be an issue due to the stamped steel frame, if it gets wet from moisture or water inside the door, however; most speakers in this price range follow suit.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
