Perfect fit for us
Perfect programmable thermostat for us. This is our second Honeywell thermostat since our house has two units. I like the Honeywell Home app as well. Makes it very easy to control the thermostats using my cell phone even when not at home. Installation was fairly easy even though none of my existing wires were labeled. It took me two tries to get it right and do remember to configure your thermostat correctly to match your particular furnace, heat pump setup. Good value but beware
For a wifi thermostat the price is excellent. The app is very easy to use and gives you full thermostat control. I do not recommend it because there is no way to lock-out the buttons on the face of the thermostat. With one touch of the system button the heat is turned completely off, meaning a curious child or even an adult who inadvertently contacts the button could turn your heat off and not know it. Yes, the display backlight comes on but the change in setting is already made at that point and the new setting can be easily missed if you don't stop to read it. This actually happened to me after a few weeks of using it. One night I woke up to a very cold house. Functionally, the unit is fine so if you don't care about lockable controls then yes, buy it. I think a lockable thermostat cover in a home is crass. To solve my problem I went inside it and put cellophane tape over the system button contacts. Awesome Honeywell Smart Thermostat and Free "Total Connect Comfort" App
Awesome value for Honeywell thermostat that is smart wifi version that access anywhere outside home with internet. Free "Total Connect Comfort" App works on both android and iPhone that has voice active inside app. You also can set up alerts if not keeping temperature. Id for sure buy again as lot cheaper then these more expensive one out there.

WIFI thermostat to keep you Cool or Warm
The only reason I gave 4 Stars is the ON/OFF transition is locked at 1Degree. I would have preferred at least adjustable 3 degrees for such a Smart Gadget. ( the Furnace comes on and heats the house and goes Off, unacceptable short time later it turns on again). I came to realize when we went on vacation, and it clicked that we did not check the Thermostat setting. We came back home did research online and came across this Honeywell WIFI thermostat and since we have a Carrier Furnace this thermostat is a nice match. Also, the price was Right. The installation was a breeze except I lucked out for the C wire and it just happened that I had a spare blue wire hiding in the wall and it was used as common by connecting Thermostat end to C terminal and to C Terminal at the Furnace end. Set up of WIFI was easy after downloading the APP from Apple. I used the App that is red in color and has 72 up/down.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Honeywell WiFi TStat Review
This is a really good product at a good price. I set one up for a friend, and then went out and bought one for myself. After it was wired up, the rest of the process--setting zone temperatures and setting up WiFi and the smart phone ap took less than 15 minutes. The app allows you to look at the current temperature and setting as well as the weather forecast. A nice feature is the setting of min and max temps, and if breaches, you get an email. The cons: product support --documentation, phone, and email just sucks. Worse than bad. I'm a mature, retired microwave electrical engineer. I had two simple questions--what power was required from the separate 24 vac transformer, and what was the difference between their jumpered R and RC contacts. Either it was a "don't know" or a "you need to be a licensed HVAC installer". My recommendation: make sure you use a dedicated transformer with neither lead grounded. What size transformer? Good product - problem with heat pump install
Good product - Priced right. 7 day multi-time programming - Alexa integrated. Display underwhelming. Much more difficult to install than I expected. Unhappy with expertise of product support. My notes: 17Apr2020 Fri - Want thermostat control of heat pump with 2 stage heat/cool; Called Honeywell tech support; spoke with 'Yerch' - about 2nd stage heating/cooling on my geothermal system and if the ‘L’ contact was 2nd stage; said RTH6580WF wouldn't support geothermal systems - asked why as GEOthermal is just a variation of heat pump; asked with my setup 1-5 (heat pump with backup) and 2-0 (orange wire o/b connection heat pump ) when does the 'L' (named Y2 conventional system) go active (24Vac) if ever. On current ClimateMaster ATP32U03 thermostat, Yellow is Y1 - 1st stage compressor/cooling/heating and Violet is Y2 -2st stage compressor/cooling/heating with the orange wire 'o/b' (slot named W conventional) selecting Cool when high (24Vac). Asked about algorithm for 2nd stage (when - what temperature spread- does L or Y2 go active?)- asked for technical manual - asked for schematic - not available - asked for someone more technical - said he was the one.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Highly functional WiFi thermostat for very reasonable price
WiFi Thermostat, wide variety of configurations for different hearing and cooling systems. This is 24 VDC thermostat , it is not used for electric 240 VAC baseboard heaters. The thermostat requires 3 wires minimum. 2 wires to control the heating system for example, the third wire is the power to run the thermostat. This is absolutely necessary. The thermostat and application on computer or mobile device work very well. We use more than 8 of these thermostats in multiple locations. The configuration to WiFi are explained in the manual and can be followed. Good functional basic WiFi enabled Stat.
The unit is an older unit and has been superseded by touch screen which are backlit. From a functional standpoint it works well for typical configurations but doesn't support feature for managing humidity. From a WiFi perspective, it works well with no deficiencies compared to later designed models. The only feature that I personally find lacking is a backlit screen. What I don't understand is that other units of the same vintage that don't have WiFi do have backlight screens.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Affordable and feature pack
Honeywell well is a trusted name, and I was surprised to find one with all the advanced features at such a low price. Installation was straight forward, programming and controlling through a smartphone app is great, and the basic Alexa controllable features greatly enhances the convenience factor. Note if your current thermostats doesn't have the continuous power, you will need to be handy with electronics and wire the C connection from the air handler. If you are not, this may not be the product for you since a professional install fee will probably eat up any saving compared to more expensive unit that may have batteries or others means for getting the needed power.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Wifi thermostats finally it's right!
This T-stat installs easy, you need a common wire and if you don't know what that is. Have an electrical person of hvac tech install this for you . Ok I installed mine. I am an arthritic spine stufferer, with a MSEEand 40 years of experience, it easy they have instructions. Links to wifi and Internet portal set up is easy if you read the instructions . Mine set up in a few minutes. I love the ability to check change the stat, even gives me the five day weather! It's amazing and Awesome. Get one or one just like. This one is a fine unit and for the.
