Good product. Change bolts to better quality ones available at any hardware store.

Bolts are made of too soft a metal. When tightening hex head stripped easily. Changed for better quality hex bolts I had and no problems when using an impact driver. Product works well for winter. We purchased two.

  • Top critical review

Compact and easy to move .

Very difficult to release the lock to either fold up or to put up . Need to grip the lever with pliers to get it out of the groove . Not easy for old arthritic hands with little strength . Light to move about into sunny spots . Not easy to assemble by am older independent lady . Well made . Like the “Hills “ label but feel it is overpriced . Sheets need to be folded before hanging as they touch the ground. Not really as efficient as I had hoped it would be .

  • Use it all the time

I use it specifically for bed sheets and It hasn't fallen over yet. The clothesline does need to be threaded and the instructions ask you to re-tighten on a regular basis. Because of the nature of the product you can't over tighten the lines, as you will bend the arms. So when you hand wet bed linen there is some sag.

  • Fantastic Lightweight Indoor Clothes Line

Great indoor clothes line which hangs a large full load of washing or bedding. Quite easy to install and lightweight to move. Good height for our elderly mum who is not be able to raise her arms up really high at a standard clothes line due to very poor balance and risks of falls. Would definitely purchase one for our home as it is so versatile.

  • Best Portable Clothes Line

Such a great portable clothesline. Handles 2 plus loads. Love the ability to move it around to get maximum sun exposure. Literally my clothes are dried in no time. Absolutely love it. Thoroughly recommend it.

  • Great product

We live in a unit with limited area for drying. Its easy to put up as well as take down. Seems strong n steady in the winds we get on balcony. Great space for multiple items

  • A good alernative to a traditional rotary clothes hoist

Assembling it is complicated and hard work; but once done, it is sturdy and a great alternative to a traditional rotary clothes hoist especially if you live in an apartment and the only sunny outside place to dry and vent your clothes is on your balcony.

  • TOO DIFFICULT TO ASSEMBLE

I HAD TO HIRE A HANDYMAN TO ASSEMBLE IT AND EVEN HE HAD TROUBLE OPENING THE FITTING TO ENABLE ASSEMBLY. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND FOR ELDERLY OR OTHER PERSON UNLESS VERY STRONG IN HANDS AND SHOULDERS. ONCE UP IT WORKS OK AS A CLOTHESLINE, BUT LEGS TAKE UP A WIDE SPACE IF YOU ARE SPACE-CHALLENGED.

  • So convenient

We find the Hills 170 portable clothes line fantastic. It’s hold more than enough washing and gives us complete flexibility. We can set it up inside, outside under cover, outside in the sun, wherever is best on the day. Quality is good and the 170 is light enough to move around.
