Not worth the higher cost
I previously bought a cheap rotor off of ebay for my 82 CB900F. It failed after a couple of years, so I paid about 50% more for a Rick's rotor this time expecting many years of reliable service. The Ricks rotor failed after about 8 months (about 2000 miles). I have a Rick's stator that is within spec and a Rick's regulator, that keeps the voltage around 14, so the rotor did not fail because other components are out of spec.
