    A very good unit.

    Okay I have two XPS comps. about 2 years difference in age. Hard drive lasted about 4-5 years for each. This unit came a day earlier than scheduled which always impresses me. A good clean unit, popped right in, my youngest son(in his 20s) hooked it up. Loaded up the OS discs and back in business. Will this last as long? Who knows with electronics. Could go in 30 days, could last 5 years. Would I buy from FASTMOOSE again? You bet I would.

    i am very upset that these hard drives are not any use to me unless some ones explains to me how to use them in windows

    i have bought two of these hard drives and i can't use them in a windows environment because the hard drive is set up to be combatable with the apple operating system not combatable with windows! I am tying to find out if i could use these brand new hard drives in the windows operating system if some one knows how to use these hard drives in windows please explain to me how ty ty

    Works great: Critical to have Apple Startup Discs

    Perfect match to the old drive and the mechanical swap was pretty easy. Critical to have Apple Start-up disk , and to boot the machine from that drive. (In my case the cd-drive). This will allow access to Disk Utilities, from there seemed to take a fresh 'erase' to make the new disk a 'recognizable' destination for the OS X install.

    It was good while it lasted

    The only positive is that the hard drive arrived in 2 days. I installed Windows 10 Pro on it and it worked well for a couple of days then I started having problems to the point that I couldn't even run Chrome without it shutting down with 2 windows open. The final straw was my computer me that my hard drive was failing (barely over a week in) so I actually had to go back to a 10 year old hard drive that I temporarily installed Windows 10 on.

    Hard Drive replacement!

    Had a bit of an early problem after installing the Seagate hard drive in which all drives that I needed were not shown; however, with a little bit of tinkering, this problem soon disappeared. Everything now works well as needed.

    Very nice backup drive for the price

    I use it as a backup external drive. It is a really nice drive for the price, I am a photographer and I have now 2 of these drives to save some of my favorite photos! It's easy to use, it is very quiet, and relible. I might be buying 2 more sometime soon!

    Fantastic SATA II HDD !!!

    In XP it's required you partition the drive in two volumes. Not an issue at all. I use these drives in other computers & for backup storage. Never had an issue. Fast, Reliable, QUIET which is great for studios. I recommend it!
