    GOOD PARTS.

    I bought this speedo cable for a mid-90s Cbr1000f, to adapt a countershaft sprocket driven speedometer drive off a Honda VFR, to my Kawasaki ZRX1200r which now has a Suzuki Showa set of forks on it, which have no provision for a mechanical drive for a speedometer. And this did the trick.

    Seems like a good cable.

    The cable works fine. The outer casing feels a little softer than the original cable probably due to different materials used today as opposed to 45 years ago😉. It is slightly longer than the original on my 76 GL1000 but I don't anticipate problems.

    Possible quality control issues with manufacturer

    The cable itself arrived in good condition, and worked well, but there was an issue with the water seal rubber that is supposed to keep water out of the upper (gauge side) side of the cable, it was on the wrong end, and therefore we had to wrap the cable with electrical tape once it was installed. (it is impossible to remove the rubber seal and turn it around without destroying the cable.)
