The Panasonic LUMIX G 20mm f/1.7 II is a super bright high-speed compact single-focal length lens with superb optical performance. It boasts dramatic compactness and light weight despite its wide aperture that enables beautiful soft focus in the background allowing the subject to stand out. Comprised of seven lenses in five groups the lens uses two aspherical lenses to minimize distortion and chromatic aberration achieving incredibly high resolution corner to corner. Sharp, works nice
I USED IT during weedinis in my lumix g7 videos, i really love the f1.7. Now I dont have to use high ISO. The only issues is sometime it lost the AF and takes a lot time to get it back. My 14-42 is fast but this 20mm (in low light) takes lot of time. Sometimes i change it to manual focus.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

A Nice Compact 20mm Prime Lens

Favorite lens for years
Best pancake, one of the sharpest lenses I’ve ever had. It’s not the fastest to focus because of the motor, but it’s worth it if. Excellent low light lens
9/10 Pros: Smooth focusing ring which gives you superb manual control. Sharp lens throughout all apertures, at f1.7 the image is surprisingly sharp and far exceeds the corner sharpness of all my other lenses at a similar f stop. Focus peaking is very accurate. Fast autofocus lock. Cons: The focusing motor is noisy, the sound is picked up by the onboard microphone when recording video but is not an issue when using a external directional mic on the hotshoe mount. 37mm filter thread, an adapter can be bought to use existing filters but its just one more thing to carry.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Compact and sharp lens.
I had read that this was a pretty sharp lens and very compact. It has actually surpassed my expectations. I am not usually into pixel peaking, but in this case the images invited me to get up close.
