Great sounding mid-range if you do not push too much power
Built very well and sounds great if you are not pushing a lot of power or are using a good crossover. Discovered excessive distortion when pushing less than half of the max watt rating - tried it out in an crossover application and it performed well within reason. A great budget mid-range for your project. Solid and protected by the front grille.

Replacement For My Vintage Hitachi Midrange Speakers
Bought this speaker set to replace midranges in my vintage Hitachi HSP-3450 speakers. One midrange had totally blown out. I think the coil turned red last time it saw action and that is never good LOL. I replaced them both with these 5 inch speakers which fit perfectly in place without needing to drill new holes. They sound better than the originals (which were square-these are round).and added some kick to these old speakers. I am satisfied with my purchase and if you are replacing vintage speakers with these you are bound to see a difference. All around happy since I was not building a new pricey system and just replacing worn out midranges on a vintage speaker set. They come in a set of two and are performing well for my application. I would recommend for vintage Hitachi replacements.

Not bad for the value price
I just needed to add more highs to a pair of Paragon speakers and these work perfectly. I added a set of bass blockers and tapped into the crossover until I got the frequency I felt I was missing. Now I don't need to turn up the volume as high.
