I recommend it
First of all, this is a fun little gadget, and I'd buy it again! there are pros and cons I should mention though. The pros are..... A good size and colorful screen (3"x 5") with 3 brightness settings/options, and its easy to set up (kind of like a basic alarm clock). It is simple, but has all the readings I'm looking for in this type of 'weather station'. As far as accuracy, it's pretty close (within +- 2-4 degrees), it depends on where you place it. I am in an up-stairs apartment, so it seems to run a degree or two higher. I don't know, maybe one of those more complex/bigger weather stations may be dead-on, but this one is close enough for me, and what I bought it for. The cons...... It runs on both battery, and electric power (that's not really a con). If it is unplugged, and running on batteries, the screen goes black after a few seconds after pushing the light button (to conserve power). To me, that's an inconvenience, because I like to be able to view it at a glance, and not have to push the button every time I want to see it. So if you want it illuminated all the time, it'll need to be plugged in. Keep that in mind for where you want to place it. And finally, you can hang it on the wall, but the back of it is sort of curved and doesn't quite rest flush to the wall. That bothered me a little at first, but now I don't even think about it. Over all, I am really pleased this thing, and plan to get one for my Dad this fathers day! Well worth the money, and I'd recommend it to any one.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Not good value.
The back lighting has gradually grown dimmer to the point I have to be standing close to it to read it. This is similar to another weather station from these folks that has done the same thing. It's back light is now totally gone and I have to use a flash light to read it so I imagine this unit will eventually be the same way.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Cool electronic gizmo
It is a handy item..I would have given it 5 stars if it had wind information too...very accurate temperatures and although not easy to read if at a distance and angle it is certainly very usable. Great weather station
Lovd this weather station! If is extremely accurate. The barometric pressure and humidity level combined with the forecast make daily planning a lot easier. The moon phases are just a fun addition, especially if you are interested in astronomy and astrology. The accuracy alone makes it well worth the money.
