Better design
This new head works so much better than the old design with the side cups (that I suppose were meant to be wheels?) which just collected hair until it got too thick and tangled in the inner screw that the cup popped off. I have 3 dogs and my home is carpeted, hence the large amounts of hair. This new design has no side cups and proper smaller even spaced wheels that actually help the head to slide on carpet. The new side filter suction is also a good feature as now I can use this for both carpeted and hard floor surfaces. The wider spaced bristles in the turbo head also stops large clumps of hair from tangling up.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Overdesigned, excessive cost, the complete opposite to simple. Seems to be the policy of Dyson to put more n more on his designs to encourage people to think more is better, when in fact its the opposite. I will never buy another Dyson product. Optimises a great vacuum
I bought the turbine head to use with our DC37 to get the rugs in our house cleaner as although the standard head was doing a good job there was still some inground dirt left behind. So easy to use. You can use a non dyson vacuum to fit this turbine head because this comes with universal adaptor. I don't know why is not stated in the description as this definitely a huge advantage to attract the non dyson owner.
