    Simple and works

    Cheap and simple reader. My unit did have a paper clip stuck in the reader which required disassembly of the unit. It reads most checks correctly the first time about 9 times out of 10. Only issue is that some checks don't get read correctly or have a hard time reading a digit, but that could be attributed to old age or a dirty sensor.
