Very good suction.
The Dyson's all have better suction. I did not like the smaller head at first because I have tile floors and would like a larger sweeping head. I have come to like the smaller head now because it can get into many more places. It is great buy except for three things. It is costly, power control should be on handle, and the body is not stable and tips over a lot. The wind up cord is great. Great vacuum for smaller house
I originally had the DC39 that was ideal for a larger house with dogs. Never had an issue with it and it did a superb job. However, when they say Compact, they mean Compact. Everything about this system is half the size of the full size system I had. Canister, vacuum head, power cord, and vacuum hose. Goiod but Needs Improvement
It could benefit from a bigger dust container. I use it to pick up hair from a shedding German Shepherd. To empty the canister, I must stick my hands inside to get some of the hair. Too much hype for product
It is easy to use -however I felt that it isn't a solid product - the materials it's made from aren't long-lasting. The power button and cord recoil button are flimsy and not durable to withstand repeated use. The canister fills quickly and clogs even quicker. The motor gets really hot with no warning as a result of the clogging. I'm still deciding if I'm going keep the product or not. Honestly - vacuums with bags beat the bagless any day. Worse vacuum ever
This is the worse vacuum I have ever used let alone bought. It is way over priced. It doesn't pick up everyday stuff from my hardwood floor let alone the rug. I have a cheap Bissell that does a better job at a 1/3 of the cost. I am extremely disappointed. I had heard such good praises about Dyson that's why I purchased this vacuum. Does well on dog hair
The canister vacuum performs as advertised. I'm not used to a canister vacuum and am having trouble getting used to dealing with a trailing unit and a hard to govern hose. I'm just used to a front facing unit and am sure in time I'll adapt to the hose issue. The vacuum is light weight, moves readily and I very much like the retractable cord. At first I didn't think the retractable cord was working as I wasn't pushing the operating button hard enough, but once I got over the fear of breaking something, it worked fine. Dyson always manufacture a very efficient powerful vacuum clean that works very well. I own a Dyson Animal now and this Dyson DC 47
Dyson manufactured an awesome vacuum cleaner and it works very well, I the past I have problem with dirty getting into the belt drive assemble and degrading the and the cog gear. This do to poor quality of gasket material and some plastic parts. I sent my Dyson Animal to have it repaired by Dyson warranty center, and they received it, and quality assurance inspected it. They sent me a New Dyson Animal to replace the one I owned. Also, I received a very nice letter from Dyson that they were evaluating the problem that I had with my old Dyson.
