Does a good job on older AMD processor

I needed new thermal paste when upgrading the AMD processor in an older Dell Dimension system. I'd read that AS5 was considered a "high end" product, so I purchased a small quantity for this particular project. It seems to work well, but after "tinting" the heat sink and the CPU there was JUST enough material left for the final application. I'd suggest purchasing a larger quantity (> 3.5g) if a larger processor is involved and/or if more than one system is being upgraded. BTW, it apparently takes only about 8 hours - not 200 hours - for AS5 to become fully functional.

    Great stuff

I have used a lot of different types and brands of thermal grease. This is by far one of the best. It really transfers the heat from the CPU to the installed cooler.

  • Ps4 heatsink

Ps4 fan was working overtime very loudly. Took off old thermal paste and apply cheap thermal paste and it continued to do the same thing after a day or two. Applied this Arctic Silver 5 and quiet as can be. Extremely impressed with this product cannot believe I went this long not using it. Worth every penny.

  • Excellent Thermal Paste

The quality of this Thermal Paste is extremely good for what I've ever used of it. Not only is it easy to apply but its properties of also being conductive helps a lot to. Just don't get any on your motherboard cause well ya know, bye bye motherboard. However, this stuff lasts for an incredibly long time and when I applied this thermal paste, it kept my GPU 20 degrees cooler over all, that's a HUGE margin. I would have anyone buy this Arctic Silver Thermal Compound for a replacement. It's really good. It's have my upvote in all aspects.

  • Best stuff for Porcessors and GPU die.

Was using another thermal proctuct until I purchased this paste about a year-and-a-half ago. And since then, I've been purchasing this product. It does exceptionally well. Keeps temps below 50°C on my i5-8600K on liquid cooled and about 60°C on my GTX1070 in my Alienware Aurora R7. This thermal paste is good stuff and recommended.

  • Arctic Silver 5 from savemyserver saved my pc!

My computer had started to have shutdowns due to heat, core temps were regularly getting into 80'sC and went up to 100C! I went online and followed the instructions at the arctic silver website since it's been a loooong time since I've replaced thermal paste on my cpu. My desktop computer is now running great, with core temps of less than or equal to 55C as I'm typing this, and max of 78C. A little goes a long way, too, so I have plenty left over if I need more. Great stuff!

  • "The Good Stuff"

I first discovered this product tinkering around with computer game consoles, It wasn't popular but it was the brand of choice, it received the highest reviews from the "pros" so I followed suit not knowing exactly what I was doing but I had it and knew that I needed it. Some time has past since then and I had finally used the last of what was left in the only tube that I've ever purchased so I had to go and get more, at that time a tube locally was about $5 or $6.99, I recently went to pick up some locally and to my surprise the value of this stuff has doubled! I had to go online to find a better price because everywhere locally it was priced at $9 or more, it seems that the word has gotten out about this stuff. At first I honestly didn't think that there was a difference between this and anything else but after learning more I started to see why it might be the quiet riot. I really can't say much more as I have never tried anything else but now that I have started I kind of don't want to use anything else.

  • BEST STUFF around - Hands Down - Best Seller & Paste is Fresh !

There has to be Silver in this Stuff as it Dropped the Temps on CPU - 12-14 Degrees In My Case the Old stuff was applied so - Lame . . Arctic Silver - to the Rescue ~ ! ( Most will see 8 Degrees ) My Memory even runs Cooler due to CPU running Cooler . . . . I did lots of Research , sure You might be able to get little better on Metallic Paste , but drop to Micron's in Your Computer's Socket Area and - Puff - It's Fried ! Arctic Silver is Safe and Very Good ! ( Fresh is Best )

  • Good paste Jimmy

It works very well so far. I had some AG Gold and it sucked. From what i have read this paste is at the lower end of high end paste. I used it specifically for my hp pavilion dv7t-5000 laptop which is known for the gpu coming unsoldered. I had to get a new motherboard so i did a copper shim job on gpu instead of silicone pad. And i used arctic 5 as the thermo paste. So good so far it's working way better and no shutdowns due to heat...yeah this used replacement mobo shuts off before it fries itself. The original one did not. Wtf?? Anyway if you're serious about overclocking you probably need better paste. But this stuff seems well worth it's moderate price. Go to their website and make sure you follow their instructions for use before you pass judgement. Thank you

  • Perfect!

The product performs really well and at a good price! Dropped my temps a full 10°c all around from stock compound. It does take around 20 hours (under at least a moderate load) to get the full performance, as does any compound. Plenty for multiple applications for multiple rigs. Not runny, not too think - just the perfect viscosity. All around fantastic product!
