    An old favorite

A year or two ago, Brita came out with a new model of faucet-mounted water filter. It was a giant step backwards—bad design, cheesy construction, fewer features—from the product I had known and liked for years. I thought the old model was history, but here it is on my kitchen faucet. It’s a pleasure to use—easy to install, far more instinctive to use. And I had forgotten how much I liked the shower feature. I hope the device I just bought isn’t a leftover from an old inventory. This thing is vastly superior to the product I’ve been using. Are you listening, Brita?

The light will burnout quickly on this model

This is one made during the time when the light flashes every few seconds, thus creating a greater strain upon the system which eventually leads to premature burnout.. With no light, one cannot determine when to change the filter, or whether the system is even still working. This was later hanged, but the newer ones have even bigger issues; the filter doesn't attached well and turning on the water causes it to pop right off and splatter water everywhere. . I had hoped this was one of the original filter systems which were really great! (Sigh)

  • Great and easy to install!

I have no idea how to assemble things but this was so simple and quick I was amazed! The water tastes great and it's such great quality. Definitely recommend!

  • Great On Tap Filter with Indicator Lights!

I like the different colored lights on the system that indicate when the filter is going strong (green light) getting close to needing to be replaced (blinking red light) and when it is in need of replacement (steady red light). The system is easy to install and does a great job at filtering tap water. I really notice a difference in the taste of me water when using it. It is simple to switch from unfiltered to filtered water and you also have the choice of two unfiltered water options: a direct stream and an aerated spray which is great for washing dishes, etc. I have been a user of the Brita On Tap Water Filter System for several years and will not go without it. The actual base of the system lasts a long time. Usually, you just have to purchase replacement filters, which last at least a few months depending on use. I usually purchase a duo pack of filters to save money. Brita also makes a filter system without the light, but I recommend the lighted system. Highly recommend this excellent product!

  • Durable and easy to install

It is very easy to install. It took me 1 minute. It has 3 settings: filtered water, aerated water and just plain. It is carbon filter. This one was a replacement that I've had for almost 8 years.

  • Went with the upgraded Brita Faucet filter Model

Had used the lesser costing model before of the Brita line, so I thought after my second one of the cheaper model - had broken in to at the swiveling point of the faucet to filter connection (first time this has happened), I'd upgrade to this model. Glad I did. As I understood at the time all Brita Faucet models take the same water filter cartridge and the one older water cartridge (a month old) from the broken cheaper Brita model worked fine in this upgrade Brita model. To me Brita Faucet filter models are about middle of the road in price and a better buy on eBay as well as their water filter cartridge (multi-pack)replacements bought here. I've used the Brita faucet filter line only and for three years now. Where as the cheaper Brita faucet filter model had a top view window that changed color in time (Green to Red) and was an indicator of the filers use of filtering the tap water, this model has a side view window that flashes one of three colors during the tap water filtering to show you where it's at of the life span cycle left to it's filtering ability. Flashing Green light filter is working, Flashing Amber light means 2 weeks or about 20 gallons water filtering ability left to go, Flashing Red light means the filter cartridge has reached the end of it's life span cycle (100 gallons) and needs replaced now. (Lights only flash or illuminates during the water filtering cycle or filter is engaged to actually filtering your water). Why use a faucet filter at all some may ask, my city has a good water reputation anyways, but my home is about 50 years old and I'm sure the pipes have sediments that get into my water supply, as well as the warning of years past that people were dumping their old prescription drugs in their toilets to discard them. Storm run offs flushing yard fertilizers and pests control chemicals into the cities water supply - can you really be sure your not consuming them too. A Faucet water filter just makes sense and costs less than a whole house water filtering system and gives me peace of mind that I'm doing something extra for my health. Since the kitchen is where all the water is pulled for drinking and cooking - it's a good fit and usage here. Hope this help some of you decide and thanks for reading my whole review. : )

  • Excellent Water Filtration System by Brita

I love this filtration system by Brita. It's a very efficient way of removing harsh chemicals from your drinking water. The price is great, it's very easy to install and it's last for approximately 4 months. It's a Win, Win, Win for me.

  • Awesome water filter.

I replaced a filter of another brand with this one. The old one was bulky, water came out very slowly and it stopped working is less than a year. This filter is very compact, the water flows at a great rate and it has three settings for the flow. So far it is working great but time will tell.

  • Look for alternative filter.

Have been using Brita for at least 20 years. When they work they do a great job of filtering. The select lever usually stops selecting the flow you choose. The filter is design to go to red light after about 3 months regardless of how much or how little the filter is used. The filters have become very expensive to replace. This is my 3rd. filter mechanism in 2-1/2 years. The light indicator stopped working on the last 2 filters. Looking for an alternative. For future.

  • Brita

Love these filters. I save water by using the spray. Easier to switch modes than the newer models without spray. Adapters didn't fit my Delta bathroom faucet, but I saved the adapter from my old Brita. No UT or kidney problems for me or my pets. Very pleased.
