I haven’t used it much!
This Apple device seems to be well worth what I paid.I haven’t used it much but it was a little challenging to set up. The device came set to a foreign language and no instructions. Purchased this to stream biking apps. But came to discover this generation can only ‘mirror’ off another apple device. Of course the next gen. can stream apps without mirroring. Typical of the planned obsolescence within Apple’s Core Strategy. Reminds me of when I had iTunes on an old PC and an iMac. Works fine but definitely too slow for 2021
Don’t get me wrong, I’m an apple guy and I owned Apple TV from when it just came out many years ago. A few things I really liked: Using an old remote that I was able to easily reprogram. Using Apple phone remote app when connected to the same WiFi AirPlay to fling any photo, music, video, or streaming app to my TV is very fast. Used as a home hub to control smart home A few disappointments: Netflix doesn’t work with AirPlay Home automations don’t work for Home hub My TV screen saver doesn’t turn on while in Apple TV, so I’m at risk of “burn in”, and I don’t like the Apple TV screen saver Apple TV remote app doesn’t work when Apple TV is plugged into the Ethernet - it needs to be on the same WiFi network, however everything else works (like AirPlay)Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Does the job flawlessly
This may not have all of the latest bells and whistles of the 4th generation, but it does exactly what I want it to do perfectly. I can stream all of the Internet services (Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, etc.) and can mirror my Apple devices to my television with no gaps or failures of synchronization.
