    Almost bought a new printer

    My printer would fade out in the middle of printing a document, but not due to the lack of ink. Took a chance that it was the print head -it worked! The product was exactly as promised - brand new and fast delivery. I bought this product because it hadn't reached the expiration date. The low cost of the print head made it a smart choice to try. Buying this in a retail store is almost the same price as a new inexpensive printer and if it hadn't worked it would have been a lot of wasted money.

    Good ink, no pump

    There is a pump on this brand of HP ink for a reason. No pump on the ink means no flow, which means the printer gets air locked. Ended up having to buy a new printer, but that may be because the old one was worn out anyway. I think this ink just helped it toll the death bell a little sooner, is all.

    Much better than rehabbed printhead

    New, in sealed package , at half HP price. The last three rehabbed printhead held up a small fraction the time of new one. Printer still announces counterfeit printhead, though from sealed HP package. Works fine. The printer software probably needs a reboot to read the printhead ID.

    Print Head Failure

    Installed the new print heads about 2-3 weeks ago. Minimum usage since installation, couple of pages daily. Now the print heads are doing exactly the same things the old print heads were doing. Ran the Tech support gambit of cleaning and realignment. To NO avail, either the upper part of the characters are missing or lower parts of the characters are missing on approx. every 5th line. HP hasn't responded about the warranty on the heads, even though the expiration date is in 2018. I am totally dissatisfied with the print heads, even though I was told by online tech support that replacing the print heads will fix the problem.

    dont try to fix an old ink jet printer

    both heads didnt work should have just bought a new laser printer like I was instructed by my computer tech first. bought a new laser printer second and it works great no cartridges to buy or print heads. has a refillable tank and reload toner kit is cheap $18.00 for 2500 pages

    Don't order this junki

    These print heads were shipped direct from China. They appeared to be genuine HP products, but I'm guessing they were very old stock, probably bought up as surplus. The clear plastic faces had bulged and pulled off the cartridges. I threw them away instead of mailing them back to China and took the printer (HP OfficePro 8500" to the recycling center. Moral of the story- when a printer breaks, buy a new one. The cost of the last set of ink cartridges plus these print heads was more than a similar new printer.

    Wrong product

    We ordered two different print heads. Only got two of the one print head. Requested they send the missing print head. They did not send the missing one but a wrong one. They said it was the missing one that was mislabeled. Not true. My printer won’t recognize the mislabeled one.

    Printer working like new again

    The HP Officejet Pro 8000 is my dedicated workhorse printer. It is set up with bulk ink cartridges, and I have saved hundreds on HP ink. I have been cleaning and rebuilding two sets of print heads for 5 years because the cost of new print heads was so high (I bought a second printer on closeout for $100 just for the printheads) but not any more! I purchased one set to test the print heads and then ordered 3 more. They shipped quickly and I am very happy. I plan to set up the second printer at work with the bulk ink cartridges. I expect I can get at least another 5 years out of these printers, now.

    EPIC Fail!

    Replace old printheads with these and they did not work. The black yellow registered good and showed good ink levels, but nothing printed from the heads. The Cyan/Magenta registered as a failed head and would never clear. I finally tossed these in the garbage and started looking for better options. I didn’t have high expectations that these would work, but decided to give them a try anyways. At least I didn’t waste a lot of money, they were cheap to purchase.
