Ernie Ball single strings are excellent. I use them on my pedal steel guitar. I can by the strings I need when replacing a broken one or one that wears out sooner than it should.
If you have a Les Paul and a good ear for pitch then you keep trying to retune the G string. It can’t be helped, the length of a LP just creates this. The answer is a wound G, 22 gauge or 24’s. I prefer these on all my guitars now. I use Ernie Ball strings so the work perfect.
