It’s IF (Internal Focusing) auto focus system offers fast, quiet and accurate focus detection with manual override capability. UMC anti-reflective coatings, three Aspherical and two ED lens elements combine to attenuate chromatic and spherical aberrations for outstanding image clarity, contrast and color fidelity with high resolution from the center to the corners of the image.

Great creative lens for a good price.
I can't speak the durability of the lens as I've only had it for a brief time. However, I do enjoy using and, for the price, it does a great job. There is a heavy amount of distortion but, so far, it is usually corrected with a single click in light room.
