Very fast and elegant new computer
Bought on eBay used... but very little use. No mouse, keyboard, or power supply. Shipped very fast, and was easy to setup, as soon as the power supply arrived (Only available from Apple and $200, used. Ouch). Startup is + / - instant. 8 Gb memory no problems, very well managed. My 'faithful' MacPro is a 2010, upgraded to 6-core CPU, plenty of memory and SSD drive for OS. But is still only 50% as fast as this thing. I have a USB 3.0 external caddy with fast 1 Tb drive = 15 sec for 2.5 Gb. Obviously Thunder Bolt 4 will be much faster... but still too expensive. And 4K Retina is drop dead gorgeous... with scaling on Excel looks exactly the same as 'Native' on my 17" Dell laptop. I was waiting... LOL, and all for $900!

My last iMac was a 2011 model..and it finally died on me late last year. I was going to go for an M3 but saw this one new on eBay for a good price so I am delighted I went for it as so far it seems the M1 is plenty fast enough for my use. I need to park with presentations and edit videos as really the most stress it will be under and Lumafusion seems to work like a dream...so all good. love it. just waiting on my colour matched trackpad to arrive as I am not a fan of Magic Mouse.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
