Great overall, would buy again
So it was supposed to be brand new but the bottom was cut open slightly upon arrival, but not fully. I gave one less start for that otherwise it was perfect and nothing else was wrong. A cheap, significant increase in picture quality
These cables produce a significantly better picture than the standard composite cable that is bundled with the PS2, although not as good as a component cable (since that allows the use of progressive scan on supported games). The cable itself is thick, long and feels very durable. The best cable to use for your older/CRT TV if it doesn't have component input, unless you are willing to fork out a fair bit for a properly wired RGB scart cable, just make sure your TV has S-Video input!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

A Must Have If You're Playing PS1 with S-Video on CRT
A must have if you have S-Video on your CRT TV and you want a clean picture. It's far clearer than composite, perfect if your TV doesn't have SCART.
