    Great for hobby use cutting foam board

    For the price, the product works as it should. I have been using it to cut hard foam board for model scenery. By taking your time and not forcing it, it works as expected. It heats up reasonably quickly and will cut 50mm foam board at rate of 1 to 3 centimeters a second with the knife and a little faster with the wire. If you want a product to "slice like through soft butter", then this product is not for you. Spend 10x more on something else. For my hobby use, it works as expected and does the job.

    Your spending $30 and you certainly only get $30 worth of hot wire foam cutter, the quality of the item isn’t brilliant, and it is cheap and crude at best, if I had my time again I would spend more on a higher quality one, the nichrome wire on one of the cutters has already broke and find suitable wire as a replacement is proving difficult, this however doesn’t reflect on the seller it is more the item itself, postage was quick and easy and the time was dispatch in a timely manner

    This product is rubbish.

    It is poorly made, its not a tool but a $2.00 show bag toy for a child. I used it once to try and cut down a poly box and its broken already. I could have cut up the box with a bread knife better. I didnt read the reviews prior to purchase, and now regret the purchase.The product is poorly designed and constructed. I dont normally write bad reviews, but usually prefer to move on with life but this product is terrible and I have to say something for other potential purchasers. It is absolutely, complete and utter rubbish. Save your time and hard earned dollars.

    Pros...quick heat up time. Cons...wire quality not that great, but if taken slowly cutter works OK. For the price it is a reasonable tool.
