Makes life easier.
A few things about this AV receiver make it well and truly worth the money. First, the speaker set up is easier than my old Pioneer. Same speakers but not as much fiddling around. Then the sound calibration. Plug in the included microphone, run it out to where you sit, run the calibration and there you are, all done! It also simplifies connecting our other devices to the new (wall-mounted) TV. Plug in the 8K HDMI lead to the eARC socket on the TV and the Denon, then don't worry about trying to squeeze your hand in behind the TV again. Just plug everything else into the Denon! Then all your video gets upgraded to near Ultra HD, even if it is just basic HD. What more do you want? O.K. so using just the one input on the TV also helps when using a universal remote for all your devices too. Less setup to worry about.
