  • Very good all around camera

This camera is my first digital camera that is as much fun as my film cameras. (More about wher I'm coming from at the end if you want context.) I purchased the X-T1 and kit lens about 2 weeks ago. I have shot about 500 pictures and feel I have a good feel for camera and lens. It's silent compared to . Louder than the X100s but, not really noticeable in any urban environment. Size wise it's small enough to travel light with. If I'm taking it along it I don't feel it's a burden it's not pocketable like the X100s or the CLE. It feels reasonable in the hand. As far as lenses, I have the 35 mm (50 mm equivalent) f2 WR (Weather Resistant), the 18-55 f2.8-4 (~28-85mm equivalent) OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) kit zoom, and the 56mm f1.2 (80 mm equivalent). Love the 35 f2. It's small, light, and focuses really fast. The bokah (out or focus areas) are very smooth and I think more pleasing than the 1.4. Unless you really need the extra speed of the 1.4 I would recommend the newer f2.0. The 18-55 kit lens covers from wide to portrait and is fast enough for any daylight shooting. I have never felt I needed greater sharpness than this lens offered. While not as fast as the prime lenses, in practical terms you can shoot as fast as you can shoot about # stops slower due to the OIS. If you just want to carry one lens for travel and want zoom flexibility this is a good lens. The only reasons not to use this as your only lens would be a desire for a physically smaller lens, a need to adjust aperture manually or a need to blur foreground and background to a greater degree. The 56mm f1.2 lens is a great portrait lens. It's ability to separate your subject it f1.2 is fantastic. Focus speed is fine for portraiture. I have used it for live portraiture without problem. With the ability of Fuji to correct its lenses in camera I have noticed no appreciable distortion or chromatic problems.

  • Excellent camera from an excellent eBay seller.

The Fuji X-T1 is an excellent camera all around. Not much more to say at all other than it's awesome. In my opinion, the only camera in the Fuji line that beats it is the X-Pro 2, and that's just for low light (noise) handling ability, and the Pro 2 is a little faster, has better buttons, and a little better image quality due to the 24MP sensor over the 16MP of the X-T1. With it's flip out screen, and giant EVF, though, I love using this camera, especially with wider lenses like the XF 16 1.4 WR because you can't use the OVF of the X-Pro 2 past like 28mm. I can say that this is the only camera I have bought a second new model of to replace the first older model. And that says a lot. I would recommend this camera to anyone whether you're a weekend warrior or seasoned pro. Having all the exposure dials at your fingertips via manually controlled dials is great. Not having to dive into the menu is always a plus, and the Q Menu also helps in this regard. Great camera from a trusted seller. Super easy transaction with fast delivery.

  • Perfect Balance of Fun, Functionality and Price, the Fujifilm X-T1 in 2021

The Fujifilm X-T1 is perhaps the best value today in the X Series, lacking only one film simulation from its more expensive brethren. If you are doing work that only requires the sixteen megapixels (and seriously, this is about everybody doing generic photography), this model will probably be everything you require. Although the X line of lenses is excellent and reasonable, I am using my X-T1 with adapters for lenses from other brands which means I am committed to manual focus. For this, the X-T1 has a dedicated Focus Assist button which makes focusing easy and accurate. The X-T1 fits well in the hand and is an extremely attractive camera, if you like the retro/rangefinder style. It is a very handy "grab and go" camera and a lot of fun to shoot. The only thing missing is a built in flash, but the camera ships with a small flash unit which is widely available aftermarket if you purchase the X-T1 body only.

  • Best all around package

I love this camera for its compact size, external access to controls, huge viewfinder (almost as large as a full frame camera), image quality (color rendition, dynamic range), fast and accurate autofocus, sublime manual focus capabilities (for any lens), and the general feel of it in my hands. The battery life is a bit short but an extra battery fits in a pocket pretty easily, although I’ve never needed it during an event. I’d recommend this camera to anyone with a passion for making pictures. It makes the process of photography addicting with the unlimited choices offered at the twist of a ring or dial to get the desired effects. It’s also a respectable point-and-shoot when it is set to auto everything. The bottom line: Fuji has made an excellent value in the X-T1 and I’d by another on in a heartbeat.

  • Excellent camera. Great Fuji color and very user friendly.

Excellent camera. Great viewfinder. Great Fuji color, very intuitive and the great line of Fuji lenses. Especially good for eyeglass users. Skip the X-Pro which you will want to love but is a compromise of OVF and EVF especially difficult for eyeglass users. As an alternative, compare to the Sony A7 (the original and not the big new overworked version II) which has a similar feel and great full frame, but color is not as great (shoot raw) and Sony lenses are just fair, huge and overpriced so the best lenses are legacy. Incidentally, I am a street shooter so size and ease of use are important. If size and ease of use are not important to you, get a DSLR (NIkon or Canon) which will give you more value for the money and many great lenses, but big size, noisy shutters and more menu options.

  • Great jpeg images right out of the camera

I purchased this item used. Fujifilm cameras and lenses are really solidly built, easy to use, and very sharp. XT1 is weather resistant, and has benefited from firmware updates. Many of controls are external, and you do not have to go through menus to get to them. A great plus. JPEG images look great right out of the camera, exposure is very good, exposure compensation is exceptionally easy. I will get an XT2 in due course, but will have fun with this camera until then. I have migrated from a full-frame system, top a micro-four thirds system, and am now using Fuji. No plans to change back!

  • Master of the middle ground

I have too many cameras. That means I have a truck load of lenses (Nikon, Contax, Voigtlander, Leica R, Leica M, Contarex, C/Y). My objective was to:1) buy a camera that had excellent lenses with AF. The T1 was perfect for a kit with the 23, 35 and the 56 all fast focus, fast aperture and superb sharpness. (2) I looked for a camera that could use my many manual lenses. To do this it needed to be easy to focus.; the X-T1 is perfect in this regard with both focus peaking and a split image. The extraordinarily detailed electronic viewfinder is a marvel and reminds me of my Nikon FM2 with its clarity. While this is not a gazillion pixel resolution sensor, it is remarkable for the way is captures nuances of color and the images produced please me more than those from my Nikon 800E or Leica M9. One parting comment, it a comfortable weigh and the construction is first rate.

  • Easy to love

I really like the xt-1. Its very quick camera and easy to use. The electronic viewfinder makes getting the right exposure and depth field simple. The tilt screen back screen is great of low perspective and candid shots. Love the lenses available of rate camera. Really nice glass. It's a great camera and perfect of every day use.

  • Excellent first time camera!!!

The camera, although now 3 generations back from the Fujifilm X-T4, is an excellent still camera. I can't outdo the automatic setting in normal or indoor light. However outside at night, the camera lets me make adjustments and the ILS allow me to take good pictures even when I am doing handheld shooting. Well worth the money.

  • A Great Camera. Super lenses. Beautiful pictures.

Even though 2 more generations of this camera are on the market the X-T1 remains a great, feature rich, camera. The image quality is remarkable. The Fijinon lenses are sharp. With years of reviews and tips available there is a lot this camera has to offer.
