    Annoying to replace, but still very much doable. ¼ drive sockets are your friends here.

    I saw some rust creeping on the driver's side door check on an '06 F-250. It happens from time to time regardless of brand (my experience with rusty door checks involves Hyundai, Dodge, Cadillac and Jeep). I went with OE Ford because the price difference with aftermarket wasn't that much with this particular item that I bought. 4 out of 5 stars due to the annoyance of removing the two bolts that go to the body. A little more space was too much to ask from Ford. Annoying, but still very much doable. ¼ drive sockets are your friends here. The thinner metal on the sockets will aid in getting those cumbersome bolts that go to the body.

    OEM lasted 18 years, replaced it with Dorman and it lasted one year. Went back to OEM for only a few dollars more
