Shop for a plastic shaker, not a metal one as the lid is much harder to remove if metal :(
I don't really know what I expected but I think I was a bit let down at how difficult this shaker can be to use. I think I got maybe three uses out of it before I couldn't stand trying to pry the lid off with a blunt knife or running it under hot water for 2 or 3 minutes. Obviously once you mix all the ingredients and start shaking the pressure builds and is keeping the lid vacuumed shut, and any sugar build up is going to make everything sticky, so it's pretty difficult to make more than one cocktail without reaching for the crowbar to attempt to remove the lid. If you're shopping around, look for a plastic shaker as they're much more flexible.
