Features include positive ratcheting design that self-centers the handle after each shift giving you maximum clearance behind the shifter, and will not allow you to miss a shift by over-shifting a gear. The reverse lockout feature only requires one hand to operate and meets both NHRA and IHRA safety regulations. Other features include a neutral safety switch, backup light switch, along with a brushed aluminum cover and a classic white shift knob with the B&M logo. Good solid and simple ratchet shifter
This is my second Pro Ratchet shifter. This first one was used in an off-road truck and proved itself to be bullet proof. I removed the annoying reverse lever (drill out one small rivet) to make shifts into reverse and back to drive super-quick. I have installed a few of these, using them on a 4 sp GM auto trans they tend to not get the perfect position in all the gears. Going from 1st to park, adjusting the cable, you try for a happy medium.
