    Canning and more. Works great with a thermal outlet.

    Awesome for keeping my largest pot evenly heated. Using for large batch canning and as the heat source for large distillation system. My largest pot with water weighs in at 28 pounds. This hot plate showed no signs of stress. The coils heat up quickly and evenly. I have mine connected to a temp controlled outlet set at med-hi with a heat probe that signals the outlet to supplie power as needed to the hot plate. Assuring that the temperature I preset stays on target.

    Works with pressure canner

    I bought this to operate my pressure canner because I didn't want to put it on my glass top range. The Cadco had no trouble boiling or getting up to pressure and maintaining pressure with my Presto 23 Qt. PC. It keeps the heat even instead of cycling on and off like a glass top and the infinite control switch allows you to really dial it in. I mostly use it for sterilizing grain and substrate to grow mushrooms on, but I will pressure can if I grow a ton of beets in the summer. I'm happy I got the Cadco, it works as good as my old electric range for my PC.

    Just as good as my electric stove.

    I've had other hot plates that couldn't even cook scrambled eggs. This is not one of those. I wouldn't even consider this a hot plate. It's an electric burner just like on a stove. Well worth the money. Doesn't take very long to heat up and cooks evenly. Exactly what I needed. I am only cooking on this for right now during a remodel. Works just as good as my full size electric stove did. Very Impressed.
