Great for fans of Pandemic. Adds tons of variety and challenge
Couldn’t be happier with my purchase. Will get into the product itself, but first I have to congratulate the seller on his prompt shipping. He also expressed uncertainty that these sets may be incomplete, but every single piece is accounted for, and the base game was included as well. Incredible deal! The expansions themselves are great, offering between the two of them many, many new challenges and formats to a game that even by itself offers hours of adjustable fun. If you find yourself having enjoyed Pandemic, maybe having played it enough to competently play the base game’s max difficulty, you should absolutely check out these expansions. Both offer a variety of new roles and events that you can add to your game to freshen it up. And of course they also offer great new experiences in the Mutation and Viral Strain challenges in “On the Brink”, and even entirely new modes of play altogether with “In the Lab”, which allows adaptation of the game to suit a single player campaign as well as a team-based play for larger parties.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Good game for older kids/adults 13+ who like a teamwork game.
I bought this game during COVID 19 shutdown. My family likes to play Risk and Monopoly. It looked similar to Risk. This is actually a cooperative teamwork game. Up to 4 players only, each takes on a scientist role with a special power. You need to trade country cards to get 5 of the same color to "cure" that color infection. There are 4 colored infections across the globe multiplying. This game has a LOT of rules. So someone has to be very good at figuring out the instructions. It has more rules than RISK. I would not recommend this for players less than 13. My 13 year old son is smart and LOVED the game and figured out the rules, and helped me learn it. LOL. My 11 year old son also enjoyed it and listened to his big brother figure out all the rules. The first two times playing we "lost" to the infections. The boys demanded to play again to beat the infection. The third game was a charm and we won and "cured" the world.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Good game with some flaws. Feels like it needs an expansion after only a couple of games.
Good game, very entertaining, has decent replay value. Co-op is definetly it's strongest suit. Still, it's not hard to figure out the best strategies and the best roles after only a couple of games. When you up the difficulty, epidemics keep appearing more often, meaning you basically only get to play the first 10-15 cities you draw over and over, which can get very annoying. Also the card trading mechanic if you don't get the role who specializes in it, can be so time consuming and tedious that it's not even worth it. Probably not much I can say since this game has been out for nearly 10 years. It is an excellent cooperative game that really fosters teamwork. There is a puzzle element to this game because you have to work together, depending on what "characters" you draw for your game, in order to get agents to the right places and to maximize their individual abilities. In the base game there are 7 agents and the particular combinations, and how many agents you are playing with, add variety to the game. It is a great family game, younger children (8 or so) can play with a little help from older players. There are expansions to this game as well that can be purchased to add variety but they are not necessary, as the game remains fairly fresh as is.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Good game but take care of the parts
Pandemic is a game that is fairly easy to learn but hard to master. Note that the cards, especially the infection deck will see a lot of abuse since you shuffle them a lot. We count up the number of plastic cubes each time we put the game away to be sure we haven't lost any. Losing cubes makes it easier to lose the game. Great game for family team work
Great game for family team work. This game gives you a sense of running against the clock although no time is really taken. Nevertheless, you end up losing if you dont make the right moves fast enough.
