    Great Product

Small is great. This unit is smaller than my others and very lightweight. Very easy to install and activate on line. My only issue was after installing it and was up and running the screen went snowy and lights were flashing and I thought OMG!!!! It was doing a live software update so the issue was mine not the box. The remote is great and easy to use. Great little unit.

Don't buy it if there is any alternative

WAs easy to set up and had one good feature I wish the Humax model that this replaced didn't have. That was to record 10 minutes after the end of a program to ensure not missing the end of the program. HOWEVER there were many missing features and features that simply don't work. One major feature that the Humax had was the ability to put recorded programs in folders and to search for programs. Neither of these are available in this model. Then there are the features that should work but sometimes don't. Often programs are recorded with a black screen. Sometimes they don't record yet the series are still shown as recording. Recording conflicts are identified even when one program finishes 10 minutes before the other starts then when you indicate which program to record the confilct keeps being identified over and over many many times and you get thoroughly sick of trying to tell it which one to not record. It is like you are asked for a response but can't enter that preference. Just tonight it was recording one program and I could not watch any other programs without recording it and watching the recording. Who can explain why you have to record a program in order to watch it live. Without doing this the screen was black. These are the common faults that come to mind immediately but there are no doubt more. We have had it for about 6 months and it is hopeless, we would get something else if there was an alternative. Try to get anything but this Whoever wrote the software for this unit did a shocking job.. It is now over 5 months since buying it. The problems continue. Was told problems caused by bad HDD. Bought new one and problems continued. Then sent back at my expense for "service" where NAS reformatted the HDD to fix the problems. After a week they started to return. Then a couple of months ago was told it was a problem with the LNB receiver. Bought a new one. Problems still the same. The problems are legion; black screen, no video or audio on live TV. approx 50% of recordings fail, Yesterday the "clock stopped" would not fix even with a factory reset. Then it fixed itself overnight. But any recordings set for last night were missed. But they probably would have failed anyway. Again I reiterate, I would avoid this like the plague. Hopefully they will accept it is not "fit for purpose" and preferably give me my money back.

  • Perfect TV.

Replaced a water damaged VAST decoder. Worked perfectly and better featured. Service was great, and the remote repeater is a wonder.

  • It works without needing to be reset a few times a day

What a change from the old decoder. Easy to set up and slowly getting confident that it won't freeze, switch off, terminate a recording or just generally be a nuisance like the previous ones.

  • just fantastic

Very easy to use, took about not even 10 minutes to set up, I wish I bought this product a couple of years ago. Wow so great & what a lot of channels you get & so clear.

  • Essential for VAST

Works just fine. Although not particularly compatible with older TVs. Operating menu is ancient by design but still navigable for the basics. Accessing the more esoteric functions of the box could be a more tedious.
