The piston, made of steel and sintered bronze, ensures effective heat dissipation and reduced wear. The new Swedish steel lamellar system further improves the performance of the shock absorber. The piston guide shoe is made of LUBRIFLON-PTFE B70 compound, which has been specially modified with the addition of bronze to increase its strength. The sliding takes place on a GUIDA DU bush, a mixture of spheroidal bronze and mild steel suitably pressed and impregnated with a mixture of PTFE+FB.
