Bought this because I wanted a conical burr coffee grinder, it was a Braun design, made in Germany and NIB despite being discontinued many years ago.
This conical burr grinder, however, grinds unevenly and the grind selector is difficult to turn, literally requiring a strong two-handed grip.
To remove the hopper requires equal strength as the threads are plastic on plastic: poorly designed (sorry Dieter Rams).
Not sure if this is just a one off or not (bought "NIB" but manufactured years ago) or because the product is just old, despite being never used.
But regardless, this product was purchased for the use as a coffee grinder and not as a Braun museum piece and it functions poorly, so I'm afraid it will likely go the way of Goodwill where someone will pick this up as a cheap addition for their kitchen,
I had one just like it and that one lasted 34 years before it stopped working. Shopped other brands, some with reviews saying they only lasted a few years. Decided to buy another just like my old one, found this one still with tags, and bought it. After it arrived, just for fun, I took the old one apart, cleaned it, and voila, it still worked. Now I have two. :D
