A great bridge to old CF users!

Not worth the effort
The card would work for a few shots and then cause an error code on the camera. The last image would not write to the card and it was necessary to turn the camera off and remove the battery in order to unlock the mirror and shutter. A nice update to a Canon 7D
Micro SD cards are much cheaper and easier to find than Compact Flash, and many manufacturers have switched to Micro SD, and so should you. This item was easy to install and accepted a 64GB Micro SD memory card without issue. I tested the burst mode and buffer on the Canon 7D and it's much quicker than the 633X compact flash I was previously using. A Real Winner
This adapter allows the use of SD cards in Compact Flash cameras. The benefit is that not only are SD cards cheaper for any given capacity (much more widely used), but many computers have SD slots in them, so SD cards are easily read anywhere. Great adapter
I own 3 order Canon camers that use compact flash cards. They are expensive and difficult to find. These adapters are the answer. Not all of these types of adapters are the same. I am currently using 4 of the Digigear type 2 adapters and each of them work perfectly with no loss of write speed. I have also tried other brands which cost less. Don't waste your money. Many of these cheaper adapters don't work at all and some are just not dependable. I have also used the Digigear adapter with an SD adapter and a Micro SD card. It works in all four of my units. Great money saver, and SD readers are easy to find. I also have used these cards in an Olympus E520 and they work perfectly. So if your device accepts Type 2 Compact Flash these seem to be the best solution to hard to find, expensive memory cardsVerified purchase: YesCondition: New

Durable
It works with some CF card reader and others may require firmware updated. I tried it on my Canon 5D2 which may not support and pop up error stated unable to format. Use it on my old desk top which is about 7 years old it work fine. I believe my camera may not support it but I may be wrong.
